It’s been a great year for real estate developments in Orlando with active single-family and multi-family projects – including some from the Feltrim Group – up by almost a quarter (24%) on last year.
In 2014, 10,300 new homes were built and sold – the best result in the last seven years. Add to that 7,100 apartments and 30,300 resales and you’ll see why Orlando’s property market did so well.
The area’s builders started 8,777 new single-family homes in 2014, up 5% year-on-year and recorded closings were up 12%, according to data from Residential Market Reports for Orlando.
The average sale price also grew by 6% during 2014 to $308,000 on average and on multi-family homes, including townhouses, condos and conversions, for sale by a huge 16% to $236,400, a report by Charles Wayne Consulting states.
Even so, there is some room for improvement. The numbers of multi-family projects, in particular, are way off the peak of late 2006 when there were 305 for sale and actively marketing. At present, there are 99.
