Davenport encompasses the much of the area directly to the south of, or bordering Walt Disney World in the Greater Orlando area. Many of the properties our clients buy here are situated in resorts or gated communities.
From our Davenport office we serve the areas of Kissimmee, Four Corners, Reunion, Davenport itself, and also the residential area of Celebration. These areas boarder the southern and southeastern parts of Disney World, and all areas are well connected via the I-4 Interstate Highway, the main artery of the Orlando area.
Davenport contains a wide variety of property including standard residential buy-to-let property, but also an excellent range of beautiful resort style homes in stunning communities / developments. Developments will typically have amenities such as resort pools, fitness centers, kids facilities, clubhouses, with some of the larger resorts including golf courses and restaurants.
Some of the best schools in this area are what are known as ‘chartered schools’. These are schools run by private institutions but who’s fees are paid by the government. The Four Corners elementary school is an A-rated school as is the school at Celebration.
As this is the resort area you are spoiled for a great choice when it comes to eating out. Of course the Downtown Disney area has a a huge variety of all kinds of restaurants including Gloria Estefan’s popular Bongo’s, and also Planet Hollywood, the Irish restaurant Raglan Road, the dinosaur-themed restaurant T-Rex, and lots more. And for the more discerning, the Reunion resort has five excellent restaurants in addition to the private restaurant at the Encore Club.
Orlando is well known for its golf, but the Davenport area is home to most of the championship golf courses. Here you’ll find courses designed by names such as Niklaus and Palmer and more. Some of the best golf courses here include:
Reunion Resort. The Reunion development is golf heaven. It has three great courses by Niklaus, Palmer and Watson, but golfers seem to particularly like the Tom Watson designed course; Independence.
Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club. Located in the fast growing area of Haines City, a great Florida course with plenty of bunkers and wetlands.
Osprey Ridge at Walt Disney World. Disney World is home to five particularly good courses. However the stand-out course for most is the Osprey course designed by Tom Fazio. Fazio also designed the new 18 at the Golden Oak property development within the Disney resort.
