Having just come back from my family summer vacation, I’ve been thinking out what makes an ideal vacation property, says Chief Executive Officer, Garrett Kenny.
I’ve come up with five top tips on why Central Florida is the perfect holiday destination and factors to bear in mind when renting a vacation home in the region.

Many investors buy our real estate to provide a holiday home for them and to generate rental returns, and our properties host thousands of vacationers from around the world each year.
The first and most important thing when thinking about any vacation destination and holiday home is location. For most Central Florida holidaymakers, being within easy reach of Orlando’s world-class theme parks and other attractions is vital. However, many foreign visitors just don’t realise how big Florida is. For instance, it is around two-thirds the size of the UK. Many people book a vacation spot in Florida because it is cheap, but they later find out is so far away that they have to spend long periods of their holidays travelling, when they should be enjoying the area’s attractions instead.
Talking of attractions, Central Florida offers a wide choice of entertainment for all the family, whether you like action or just relaxing. The region boasts the world’s leading theme parks including Universal, Disney, Legoland, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and many more. In fact, seven out of the top 10 Amusement Parks in the world, reviewed on the quality and quantity of Trip Advisor reviews from millions of visitors, were from Orlando. It is also home to a huge choice of championship golf courses, top basketball, baseball and soccer clubs, incredible malls and boutique stores and leading restaurants and bars. Or, if you want a break from the action, lie by a resort pool or treat yourself to a top-class spa.
Bad weather can ruin a holiday. Thankfully, Florida is The Sunshine State and even if the weather is inclement, there is lots to do under cover here – and it makes the ideal excuse to pick up some bargains in our superb stores, sample our excellent restaurants or enjoy Florida’s diverse arts and entertainment venues. The most popular time for vacationers is from March to May and Mid-October to late November, but there are plenty of holidaymakers who come in the height of summer, from June-September.
